Gander Studio is a place for adults and kids to be creative. They offer paint workshops and they also offer “Take and Make” kits where people can take home a project and make it whenever they feel like it. Or you can register for workshops where the artists at Gander teach you how to make a project. Find more information here.
One popular project is the six-foot-tall porch signs that everyone seems to have on their porches these days. For kids, Gander offers an after-school art club and summer day camps. Don’s Pottery Shop
If you’d like to learn how to throw pots on a potter’s wheel, Gander Studio has an in-house potter who runs Don’s Pottery Shop. He provides the clay and all the tools, shows you how to make the pot, and then fires the pottery when it’s done. He also offers workshops and private parties for up to four people.
