Pool Enclosure Cleaning Methods

Sad but true, even the prettiest pool enclosure will need periodic cleaning to keep it looking pretty.  Not just from the dirt in the air, but also from mold, mildew, and algae that grows on the enclosure. Information concerning Alvin, TX can be discovered here.

Labor Intensive

The different cleaning methods range from breaking your back to just a little time investment.  The most labor-intensive way to clean your pool enclosure is with a bucket of soap and water and a long-handled soft brush.  Physically clean your enclosure and then rinse it down with the hose. Information about Sloped and Gabled Roofs on Pool Enclosures can be found here.

Less Work

If you don’t feel like washing everything by hand, rent a pressure washer.  Be sure to start on the lowest pressure setting so that you don’t accidentally damage your pool enclosure.  Again, plain soap and water work well. Remember to rinse.

Vinegar Solution

If your pool enclosure is growing algae or mold from the humidity of the pool, you’ll need to add something to your pressure washing spray. A solution of half vinegar and half water will usually kill the mold or algae.  Be careful not to get the solution on any vegetation growing around your pool. A bleach solution is not recommended because it will break down the glazing materials that hold the panels in place.
