About the Park
Camp Mohawk covers 55 acres and is mostly a day-use park. It’s located along the Chocolate Bayou, between Alvin and Angleton. It’s also well known as a place that scout troops use for their woodland adventures.
It has self-contained cabins, dorms with kitchens, and a tent camping area. It even has a chapel, so it makes it a great place for the scouts. There are plenty of picnic areas with grills and covered pavilions.
Camp Mohawk has a three-acre lake and a place where you can launch your canoe and go fishing. There are plenty of trails for hiking, a playground, a basketball court, and a baseball field.
Nature
Camp Mohawk has the only stand of native pine trees in the county. The county will provide you with a guide so that you can identify tree species along the hiking trails.
