If you have a good contractor for your pool enclosure, they will come out to your home and sit down with you and plan the best way to engineer the enclosure. One important issue is the matter of the design of the roof. See more here.
Flat Roofs
Just as pool enclosure roofs can be made of different materials, they also can be built in many different shapes.
One of the easiest kinds of roofs to put on a pool enclosure is a flat roof. In this case, the pool enclosure looks like a box. Most people do not choose a flat roof for just that reason – it is not aesthetically pleasing. See here for information about Why Get Pet Screens on my Pool Enclosure.
Precipitation
Another reason people don’t choose a flat roof is that water builds upon the surface. With all other kinds of roofs, you would have some slope and the water will naturally drain off.
The most important reason not to choose a flat roof? Snow. If you live in an area of the country that gets snow in the winter, a flat roof just won’t work. Sometimes snow is light and fluffy and blows away. But most times snow is extremely heavy. A few heavy snowfalls and you could have a roof collapse.
