Lanais
Lanais are just another word for a screened-in patio. They are not heated or insulated. They may or may not have a pool in them. They surround the three sides of your patio with screen walls, and they usually have a conventional roof. See here for information about Pool Enclosure Builders.
Pool Cage or Pool Enclosure
Pool cages and pool enclosures are the same things. Just different words for the exact same building. A pool cage or enclosure goes around a pool. It can be three-sided if it butts against your house, or it can be four-sided if the pool is farther out in the yard.
Pool enclosures can be made of various structural materials. Most people prefer that the beams supporting their pool enclosure be made of aluminum. Aluminum won’t rot or warp like wood will, and it is lightweight for ease of construction. Aluminum also won’t corrode like steel.
Pool enclosures can have panels in them made of glass, or of screening material. Each kind has its own advantages depending on what the homeowner wants.
